This book is the fourth series of publications undertaken by the institute of Sathya Sai Education, Mumbai,India.They perform a complete package of text materials for use by schools in India implementing the programme of Education For Human Exellance.

The Lesson plans are intended to help the teacher conducting a class based upon the direct teaching method.The five teaching techniques and a variety of Group Activities,stories,songs,etc provide the teacher much resource material and ideas to make abeginning in the class.The lessons have been trial-tested in many English Medium schools in Mumbai during the past two years.They are sequenced according to the age group of students of Standerds II,III and IV.

An experinced teacher can always modify the contents and add new inputs appropriate to the environment and availability resources to increase effectiveness of the programme of Education in Human Values.However,it is important that it certain crucial factors are always remembered.For example,all the five teaching techniques should be utilised in an integrated fasion to highlight a particular Sub-Value selected for the lesson.

Success of a lesson in terms of a deep impact on the mind and heart of the children depends mainly on teacher's own commitment and attitude .There can be no substitute for a teacher who practices these values in her own life.in this sense,direct teaching method is powerful example of the application of love in the Human Values Programme.
